PN Luxterios, Lucterius; Meid 274 reconstructs PIE *leuk- / *luk- 'to shine, be bright'; Lucco exhibits either zero grade of the root *luk- or a monophtongized full grade *leuk-/louk- > lōk- > lūk- with shortened long vowel in front of the subsequent geminates. |
